Schaeffler-Paravan Technologie GmbH & Co.KG is a company specialising in the development of fail-safe drive-by-wire systems - "Space Drive" - and chassis system solutions. The company is based in Herzogenaurach and has an operating facility in Pfronstetten-Aichelau. Schaeffler Paravan Technologie is a joint venture (90 percent Schaeffler and ten percent Paravan GmbH) and was founded in October 2018.

At the entrance to the village of Aichelau, there is a sign that reads "The future is made here". At Schaeffler Paravan, we take this literally and are developing the digital steering technology of the future with Space Drive technology - road-approved, with multiple redundancy and certified to the highest industry standards. The steering of the future will be digital - by cable! With Space Drive, Schaeffler Paravan offers the only road-approved steer-by-wire system in the world. Space Drive eliminates the need for a mechanical connection between the steering wheel and steering gear.
