Schaeffler-Paravan Technologie GmbH & Co.KG is a company specialising in the development of fail-safe drive-by-wire systems - "Space Drive" - and chassis system solutions. The company is based in Herzogenaurach and has an operating facility in Pfronstetten-Aichelau. Schaeffler Paravan Technologie is a joint venture (90 percent Schaeffler and ten percent Paravan GmbH) and was founded in October 2018.

At Schaeffler Paravan, we take this literally and are developing the digital steering technology of the future with Space Drive technology - road-approved, with multiple redundancy and certified to the highest industry standards. The steering of the future will be digital - by cable! With Space Drive, Schaeffler Paravan offers the only road-approved steer-by-wire system in the world. Space Drive eliminates the need for a mechanical connection between the steering wheel and steering gear.

In the 2022 season, Mercedes-AMG Team Mücke Motorsport, together with Mercedes-AMG GT3 driver Maximilian Buhk, will continue to focus on technology development in motorsport and, in cooperation with Schaeffler Paravan Technologie GmbH & Co. KG to further develop the Space Drive steer-by-wire technology under the extremely demanding conditions of the DTM.
